Not Bad For a Girl was founded in May 2006 by London-based designer Karen Jane, with the intention of representing the ladies side of the game with her fresh design skills, at a time when ladies independent brands were few and far between.
Coming from a graphics background KJ found that 'Not Bad For A Girl' was the perfect motto to use in those boy-heavy circles, "I grew up with guys saying that kind of thing to me all the time. I just took it as a twisted up compliment. When I started using it myself it always got attention, so it was only a matter of time before it made it onto a shirt".
That first line from the label flew off the shelves in record time and from that point on NBFG has continued to serve up tasty limited edition pieces, dedicated to the ladies who show and prove on a daily basis.
